昨天的200米飞人大战结果又是精彩的一回。Usain Bolt这次出尽力，没有刹车，跑到最后，打破了Carl Louis十二年创下的世界纪录。Bolt以19.30秒拿下200米项目金牌。

100 meters, how long to you need to cover 100 meters by foot? Yes, by running, of course. Jamaican runner USAIN BOLTS only needed 9.69 seconds. That's over 10 meters per second. That's nutz. And guess what? He could have actually done it less than that, if he didn't spend time pounding his chest with both arms near the finishline. Yup, definitely World Record setting results. He broke the last record that he has previously set 2 months ago.
Oh, I guess this is a good time to annouce the release of PUMA Beijing Jian YOKA Jamaica Colorway in 10" glory. No, this is the only 10" variant coming out from the PUMA series. And no, this is no pre-order, the goods are ON HAND NOW. Have fun.
SUITMAN Young Kim should be no stranger to this blog, I'm sure. SUITMAN's vinyl figure is about to launch. Standing at 28.5cm tall, the character design itself is no surprise, classic Suitman. These can be found later in the series of exhibition Young is having around Asia and of course on our online shop as well. Hope you are happy with them, Young. Cheers.

It has definitely been a while since I updated this. The site is still going thru some changes, so I don't use this as often as I used to. But hey, today feels like a good day. Why not?!
Needless to say, I was home last Friday night (August 8th) and watched the opening event of Beijing Olympic 2008. I was lost for words, it was amazing. I know the word "amazing" is already an under statement for that matter. But like I said, I was and still am lost for words.
By this time, some of you should have seen these online. "Beijing Jian" YOKA Series we produced for PUMA. We reserved some sets for you boys. The 40 people who has previously ordered the FUTURA TAG will get one of the 5 variants in their packages for free. We got some heat for doing this, but I figured it was worth the wait. Not every month we get to make something special for such a special event. We thought we would spread the love a little. Anyways, we got them in finally, so the Tags will go out tomorrow.
The vinyl world seems to be feeling the flow of economy as of late. Nothing to feel surprised at all, but adjustments are needed. Flexibility is on our side when we run a small outfit. We'll try to get around all this to continue to provide worthwhile collectibles for you folks. Just hang in there with us if you will. We still have a few good projects to launch before 2008 is all over. Just watch for them.

Every July, we all come to Taipei to meet up for the Taipei Toy Festival. This year, was no different. Thank you to all those who came out to support the festival, and especially those who supported adFunture.
adFunture Girl? Nah, this one ain't ours. But it was close enough.
Group of us went to LUXY for a fun night out after the first day of the exhibition. It was fun as usual, lots of whisky, lots of vodka, especially whenver Darren was there.
Will update the rest later.
On the side note, we will be dropping the FUTURA piece 12hrs earlier than originally announced due to high volume of requests for a better "time" (time zone differences). So, for you guys in the US, it will be like July 17th 12PM noon time (New York Time).

System back online after the server-move. If the site is loading up slower than before, I'm sorry, we had to move the site away from the US server, it was just something we had to do if we want to keep updating this site. Slower is better than none. That was how we looked at it.
This blog isn't functioning as it should be, we might move to a completely new platform, which means I'd lose all the old posts I made. 650 posts or so. It breaks my heart to lose them, but hey, like I said, it might be something that we just have to do. Bite the bullet, let it go. This blog is not just for you, it is for myself as well. At times I couldn't remember what I did last year and I'd come here to search for old entries. I'm getting old, losing memories.. need to add some more rams. What can you do.

Proxy issues still, can't update as much as I'd like to. Well, today is my lucky day, I guess.
A little bit busy with the TTF stuff. But the major work is not about TTF, is about what's after. We spent too much time over retailers and distribution, etc. The recent old prices ain't exactly helping neither. We decided to go back to the basics.
Some of you would have noticed the banner on this page. Some cant make out what it is, some of you did. Well, it is. We did NYCC, so we won't be at SDCC this year. However, never count us out of the action. This one is nice, among others. But this one, exclusively for this webstore, is super limited. Don't blink. Don't blame me for not informing you earlier. This is as early as I could. 
Went to Nanjing (China) for the weekend. Party hosted by YOHO Magazine. First time visiting the city, actually. Pretty...quiet.. No party photos though, sorry. I was too drunk for that.

Ran into some proxy issues, which prevented from updating the site for the whole week. Well, we are back and let's get back to the regular programming.
Puma and skateboard cult icon Santa Cruz will be dropping this First Round collabo this September. The collaboration pack includes this nice pair of kicks and a special tee. The design of this First Round came from Jim Philips' (Art Director of Santa Cruz) "Screaming Hand" graphic. That graphic is as iconic as Santa Cruz the screw itself. On the side of the upper, where Puma usually print the shoe's model name, it reads "1987" on this one. 1987 was the year Puma came out with the First Round model and the year that Thrasher Magazine had the sneaker on its cover page. Very dope kicks, cop it if you get to see this on the selves.
喜欢滑板文化的朋友们应该对Santa Cruz这滑板团体十分熟悉。在80年代与90年代，Santa Cruz为Skateboard Culture创作过不少深入民心的图案。最为出众的莫过于Screaming Hand一图。今年秋季，PUMA将推出与Santa Cruz合作的Collabo系列。鞋类单品选用了First Round机种。配色与设计也源自Screaming Hand一作。虽然离发布日期还有几个月，但fans们已迫不及待。喜欢Puma和Santa Cruz的朋友务必留意。

Vancouver has always been a warmer part of Canada. Seeing that it is June, I figured I could get some sunshine here during this trip... 10 degrees here! June! WTF?! Toronto, on the other hand, was rocking 41 degrees on Sunday. The climate is definitely different nowadays, the world is changing...
Came to the fisherman harbour for short visit. Luckily, we missed the rain. 
来到温哥华的渔人码头。虽然天气不是很好，但还是挺舒服的气氛。人不多，可能太冷了吧。天气反常，六月份的今天，这里只有十度。应该平时跤冷的多伦多，同一天却四十一度。
Went to Gastown for coffee with Tony of WrongWroks. The last time we met was in Taipei, is good to meet him this time on his home-turf. We are no strangers since we collaborated before and still have active projects going on now, and the fact that I did an article on him in my GUE column, I actually know his story pretty well by now. But still, it is always fresh to discuss new ideas and projects over a few cups of coffee face to face. Internet can only do so much when it comes to interactions. Happy to learn that his new book will be coming out very soon, with tons of juicy photos etc. If you'll be in Taipei this July, you just might be able to cop one from that first batch. And trust me, you'd want to line up for this one.
Tony, good to catch up. See you again real soon. Say... July?!

Can't stay here too long, but is still a nice lil' break from the studio. I'll get to meet up with a few friends here as well. Don't even want to think about the flight back home...

A few of us decided to put together a small fund raiser to help the victims of the recent earthquake. We will be accepting orders for this charity version of YOKA (SC Yoka) starting June 12th. Friends from Staple Design, Dita Optics, Suitman, Revelator, Black Cross and Puma were all in on this, we really appreciate the support. All the sales collected will be donated to Red Cross China. Just trying to help in our own little way. Hope you'll support this too.

Have been quiet for a minute there. Just getting some work done both in the studio and at the dream factory. Alot of things are going on at the same time, can't help but to help a bit dizzy..
Rostarr gave me this "Falling Off the Reel" album a while back, and it has became the background music of choice in the studio in recent weeks. Produced by Truth&Soul, and with the first track featuring Jose Parla. Is definitely an eazy listening collection. Definitely set the right mood for our day's work.

这R&B soundtrack完全让我relax地进入工作状态。第一首La Valla更有Jose Parla的参与，听到他的声音便想到他的笑容。为一天的工作定下了 tempo。
Alot of new products are Olympic-inspired these days, with something new dropping by the day. Is all good, depending on your taste. Jordan fans will get the Jordan6 with the Olympic 5-colors, that's fun. I think the event is fun for sports fans in general, and at the same time, creates good topics for different makers. This Puma Meio showed up in the studio recently, with red and black color combo and croc-skin patterned uppers. It is one of three colorways of Meio that Puma will be putting out in the theme of the sports spectacular. But hey, if you are not at all into Oly, just think of it as a great colorway to rock on. This would be my first time trying this Meio Cell model, look forward to seeing what everyone else will be coming out with as we can closer to the big event.

While Dacosta and I were in New York, we were recommended by Charles to go to a chocolate restaurant named MAX BRENNER. Is basically a cafe/restaurant that mainly serves chocolate-related dishes. The fitting of the interior was colored... yup, chocolate brown. I felt full just by walking in there. We had a full blown meal before this, by the way. However, the food was quite good. I had a heavy chocolate waffle with strawberries toppings. Do check it out if you are in town. 2 locations, one in Union Square, the other one in East Village. 
在New York的时候，和好友Dacosta到了MAX BRENNER吃甜品。一家专卖巧克力的甜品屋。店里也用上了咖啡色为主色调，其实看到一觉得有点饱了。看到菜单上的照片就真的完全饱了。但在 Dascosta的推荐下，还是点了。味道出乎意料的美味。结果还是吃光了一份挺大,挺heavy的chocolate waffle。值得介绍给大家的MAX BRENNER，有机会可以带朋友去试试味道。

I try to find time to "surf" the net everyday, just to see what people have found. More often than not, I'd come across something I myself found interesting. And more often than not, I'm amazed at how people found these info/resources in the first place. I mean, where do you even start to look at?

First saw this trailer in New York Comic-Con, and I was totally blown away by the animation. The Spider-Man in here looks way better than the actual movie, but this comment is not being fair, of course. With the Hollywood movies of Hulk and Ironman (came out already) being the current events, the two classic characters are being madly promoted here with this trailer. Love it. I watched this about 10 times by this point.

On a totally separate note, things are still in motion at the factory, so is not like nothing new will be coming out anytime soon. However, I'd rather put something on here when they are closer to being "ready". I had those fiascos before, and don't want to go through the same nightmares nowadays.... I have a weak heart after all these years. But boys, no need to guess. Teddy Troop fans will have a fun year in 2008. But some of you might also hate me in 2008, 'cos Series 3 will be blind boxed, yes. However, blind boxes do have their charms, just wait for it. You'll see. No teasing here, just sayin'.

Really digging that Endangered Species Pac by Puma x Atmos, and found out that there is actually a third party involved in the project; Mitsuaki Iwago. He is a professional wildlife photographer with an amazing portfolio. 
其實昨天提到的Puma x Atmos合作還有一點背景故事。這次是個三方聯名，除了Puma和Atmos，還有一位日籍野生動物攝影師Mitsuaki Iwago，這次collaboration包括了6雙鞋。每一款都代表著一種面臨絕種的動物。三方希望能透過這次project讓大家再留意一下這些動物。這樣的project有意義過只把Logo印在鞋跟。現在的球鞋合作越來越豐富了。Logo互用的時代好象已過去了。

After GSUK opened back in Nov of 2007, Miranda (Clutter Magazine) and I had been playing around with the idea of putting up yet another "design contest". At that point, we had quite a few question marks up in the air, for example, "which platform to use?", "so what if you win?", "how do we host this thing?", etc. The usual, you know. Near Feb of 2008, the answers became quite clear. At NYCC weekend, answers were "crystal clear". YOKA, our yet to officially release new platform figure, would become our subject for this project. After seeing YOKA standing in the display case during NYCC, all have agreed that he is THE choice. While we have a few more things planned for YOKA, the YOKA DESIGN COMPETITION would be the first event to go live.
Before it gets officially started, I'd first like to thank Miranda, Nick and the rest of the crew at Clutter for working on this with us. And for those who are considering if they should join in the fun, well, YOU SHOULD.

A late congrats to Woody and the Sneaker Freaker crew for their latest collabo with Puma. The Blaze of Glory that SF put together definitely looks hot. Puma seems to be doing alot as of late. After the resurrection of Blaze of Glory, SF put up photos of the latest collaboration project between Puma and Japanese sneaker boutique Atmos. Themed after the good old Panda, this looks to be another winner coming out of the pack.
On a related note, Pandas seem to be everywhere this year. We got one coming your way soon as well, ... well, not just one. ALOT. 
看样子今年真的是Puma发力之年。继2周前发布与Sneaker Freaker合作的 Blaze of Glory后，这周收到Puma与日本人气鞋店Atmos推出联名鞋款。熊猫今年人气也不弱。看配色与图案，这次Puma Panda相当讨好。可惜只能从水货店入手了。
