I had Beef Tartare 3 times in my 2-day stay in Paris... tasted soooo good. Sichi can't understand why I can eat this, but man, you gotta to try it to understand. I'm pretty sure this is what I'll be having the next time I return to Paris again...

Went by Palais de Tokyo to check out what Andre got offering in Black Block (his shop). This is one interesting museum shop. 
One of Mr. A's creations... Should I assume Disney put this project on hold?...

Had a short meeting in the restaurant at Andre's Hotel Amour. A very warm setting, and quite busy as well. The handwriting on the menu looks quite familiar.

From London, I headed out to Paris with Sichi. Havent been to Paris in 3 years, it was a opportunity to visit some old friends there.
Took the Eurostar from its new Kingscross Station, from one city central to another country's city central. One of the best way to travel. 
自从在Colette展出后，一直没回来过巴黎。事隔3年了。变化不大。我还记得这里的路。因为公车罢工，我和Sichi都是以步行为主。我还是能带一点路的。
乘搭Eurostar，从London去Paris真的很方便。2个多小时，从一个市中心去到另外一个国家的市中心。（其实中国真的很大！在中国2个小时火车你能去哪？？）

Visited Shepard Fairey's exhibition, WAR IS OVER, at Truman Brewery (curated by Stolen Space) on Brick Lane. Deeply overwhelmed by the artworks on display. The sheer sizes of some of those pieces were just breath taking. Apart from the actual graphics themselves, I was more intrigued by Fairey's use of "layering" on his works. I had more photos of his works in my Nikon,... before it got nicked... I'll have to make do with these ones for memory sake. .jpg)
On my visit, only 1 painting has yet to be sold, all others were spoken for already. A big congrats to Shepard and D*Face (D put on the exhibition for Shepard.) And I'll see you next time when I visit London again, D. .jpg)

On my to-do-list for London, meeting up with Jason was high up in priority. This brother runs CHEESE Shop in Beijing, and now studying in London. A very good friend. I'm in his city now, of course we had to sit down to have a chat. He's doing well in school, I hope! :-) "Stay in school !"

Definitely digging this new messenger bag from Head Porter. HF and the Fragment crew have been using this pattern on a number of items in season. This pattern came from British punk rock, something that HF seems to be into for sometime now.

A very nice 2nd Anniversary Boxset sent over from Wade of the Revelator. This Taipei street brand is doing something right; that's paying attention to details. The print is a photo of the first ever silk screen Revelator used for their first tee 2 yrs ago. That's definitely meaningful to a creator. Nicely done, Wade. And thank you for your kind gift.

A delayed post about what happened last week here in London, our adFunture Guerilla Shop UK opened on Brick Lane, taking up some space in Bodhi Gallery for the next 6 weeks. Many friends came to our opening reception party and we went through 600 bottles of Tiger Beer together. It was all good fun.
It was also the opening reception for "Shelf Life Exhibition", by two of our artists Sichi and Hicalorie. Great pieces went up on those walls of Bodhi, and people reacted very nicely to the art pieces.
But that night, really, was more about the "people". And there were plenty of "people" who showed up for support. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank them all.
We'll do this again soon.
终于可以停下来写一下blog了。上星期在伦敦的新店party，很多朋友到场支持。十分感谢。大概250~300位来宾，一起喝了600支Tiger赞助的啤酒。也有2年没到UK了，真不好意思。但一看明年的工作安排，应该会常常来伦敦了。
GSUK的场地有2层。一楼是画廊加小餐厅，专卖店有楼下。由Sichi和Alex主导的画展正有上演，名为Shelf Life。反应很好。
很多新品都在店里上架。法国方面也订掉了很大的数量，所以有部分商品不能国内供应了。。。对不起大家。

Less than 24hrs to go before the SHELF LIFE Exhibition opens tomorrow, and the official opening party for GSUK. Lots of things goin' on all at the same time, we are trying to cope with everything the best we could before the opening.
LEFTY Original and SUPERDEUX for LEFTY, both, will be released tomorrow night, with Hicalorie on hand for the celebration. BUKAs have been well received so far, which is good to see. I'm sure alot of folks to crack a few cases tomorrow night and just start trading around in the gallery. Should be good fun.
I'll see some of you tomorrow night.
Oh, the afterparty will be at BRICK HOUSE. Don't just come for the toys, don't forget to have a few drinks with us.

Went visited a few friends this morning. 4 train cargos on top of a short building; most of the trains were bombed with amazing graffiti art. Pictured here was done up by SHE ONE.
Quite a smart concept, and very ideal "studio location" for street artists. A very natural canvase for more graf artists.

At 11:11am London time, GSUK officially opened its doors to UK shoppers. It was really nice meeting a few guys from the forums, and met some new friends as well.

SUITMAN invades Shanghai officially tonight with his For Her Eyes Only exhibition opening at Agnes b. Shanghai.
Young Kim, aka Suitman, has travelled all over the globe taking photo journels of himself in his iconic black suit yellow shades. The images are only part of the story, the more powerful part of the story is the interaction that took place in different countries, cities, with different people that crossed paths during his journey. One can say that there's a story behind every photo of the Suitman. 
One of the reasons why I love going to Young's exhibition openings is that you can always expect something to "happen". What "happens" is the real "art" in the show. Photos on the wall are just a record of past actions. Tonight, all guests that were at the opening got their portrait taken by the Suitman himself. All photographed got to wear that suit outfit for the shot. The guests got to take home a copy of that photo, signed by Young. A little token to remind you that YOU were there.
While some will say that they don't "get" performace art, well, there's really nothing to "get". Just enjoy the process. Believe it or not, you are part of that art piece tonight. You got involved with the Suitman.

Addictive TV trio scrolled into town this afternoon from London, one day before my own trip to their hometown. While I will miss their performance tomorrow night at Shanghai MOCA for Adidas, I did promised to bring them to an interesting event tonight. I brought them over to Agnes b. to check out Young's exhibition opening.
It has been 2 yrs since we last met, this outstanding video jocking crew is more successful than ever lately. I know I'm missing out on some great gig tomorrow night, but Addictive guys were kind enough to bluetoothed one of the samples to my phone for me to enjoy during my flight. Cheers there, mates.

A nice pick-up during my recent HK trip; one of the Silly Things x Jan Made Home pieces. High quality and the color touch was a nice icing on top. Seriously diggin' this piece. Quite alot of silver feathers out there, but this one absolutely set itself apart from the infamous Goros' pieces. Nice work.
Another brother came thru the glass doors of the #84 Studio. Anthony Yik and I have been friends for the past 20 years. We counted that tonight, 20 years. Brother by choice. We both grew up in Toronto, and then he moved to New York for work while I relocated to Asia. Last week, he picked up his stuff and moved to HK as well. He came to Shanghai today for business meetings and came to visit me in the late evening. Old times. With 2hrs apart by flight, I'm sure we will hook up more often from now onwards. Looking forward to those parties, Anthony. Good to have you back in town, brother.

Young Kim the Suitman visited the #84 Studio tonight. I'm very eager to see what he has in store for us in his upcoming solo exhibition. "Hype art" as he calls it, works everytime. 
Conversation was endless. Ideas came from dialogues, from constant conversation and interactions with different people.

First time shopping with Chris in HK, although we do it all the time in Shanghai. It was fun as Chris is a shopping maniac as well.

One of the biggest reasons for this HK trip, besides Young and Jose's exhibition, was because of my grandma. Is the young lady's birthday, and I would like spend every birthday with her, as many as I can. A huge family dinner was in order. I just love watching her smile. With work, is easy to overlook the elderly, which is very wrong I think. We shall always make time for our parents and grandparents. I don't want to regret later. Happy birthday, grandma. I wish you all the best in life. Smile.

A wonderful combination of artists made up this Grand Tourists Exhibition for Diesel in Hong Kong. An exhibition about 4 artists being influenced after their visit to Mainland. It doesn't mean they now paint Chinese paintings or anything like that, but it is more about the mental influences.
The four artists, each have their own unique style, are Young Kim (aka Suitman), Jose Parla, Deanne Cheuk and Rostarr.
I had the pleasure to viewing the works in the opening night last Friday. Overwhelming to say the least.

Just arrived Shanghai from Hong Kong tonight. I was only gone for a few days, but it seems like a long time. Quite a relax stop over in Hong Kong. A nice weekend, meeting with friends and family; the usual works.
Went to a very nice exhibition opening, I'll write a bit about that in a later post. It certainly deserves its own post. 
One of the prizes from my hunt this trip; the fusion Jordan by Spike Lee. A few colorways have came out since this one, but this is by far the nicest. Had to get it. Anyways, shoes.

Nah! He's just checking off the "want-list menu" during our dinner meeting last night! The big guy plays an important role in the adFunture organization nowadays, you can expect to see more great figures coming out designed by Jukai.
Yoyo is the person keeping us guys organized, very vital in this company, as we are very very unorganized...
10 more days to go before our GSUK opens, I'm a bit excited and nervous at the same time. Our team is working hard to make all the releases will be on time and on point. Thank them so much.
