10/03/2007: "Men with Cars"

Went thru Toys'R'Us yesterday, and saw all these Matchboxes, and Hot Wheels. Which guy doesn't like cars?? I would rather have a real one, but before I can afford a real one, a matchbox will have to make do.
Picked up a BMW M3 and a Dodge Ram. Quite nicely proportioned. I have always always loved BMW, I was a fanatic when I was in Toronto, I used to own 4 (real ones)... Well, yeah, 2 out of those 4 were wrecked when I bought them, and I never got around to fix them properly. I still remember Adi and I used to drive around in my orange 2002tii, which leaked gas, around town. Didn't dare to smoke inside the car, thinking it might explode or some shit. I loved my E36 328i the most... all suited up too. O well, I sold it to gather money to start my own small business. I figured that one day I can afford a better car, so ok selling it wasn't too big of a deal... who knew I'm now still without a better car?! Damn.. Ok, this small M3 will have to be it for the time being...
Ram? Why would I pick up a Ram, you ask. Actually, after selling the 328i, I almost bought a Dodge Durango. Yup, a pick-up truck. Sorry, did not know WHAT I was thinking back then. Why would I want to drive around this huge pick-up truck in Toronto?? To think of it, I had absolutely no use for a Durango back then, even now that I own a factory, I still don't see why I would need to drive around a pick-up... Stupid thoughts I had back then, I couldn't even explain myself if someone asks me today. Luckily, I didn't buy the Durango, ONLY BECAUSE they were out of stock when I asked for a black one. Yup, a black Durango looked quite "cool". Admittingly, if I did buy it, I won't look cool driving in one.. My figure is simply too small to drive a Durango, I'd look quite funny in one... Imagine.
Anyways. I bought these 2 small cars for fun, and I showed my mother the Ram during dinner last night, and I asked "You remember this?"
"Oh that's the car you almost bought."
I thought she'd have forgotten by now. It has been at least 8 years ago. :-)
Pulled this one off Paul Mittleman's blog. Quite funny.
