SUBCREW UNITY Shanghai

Things are certainly looking up for the SUBCREW. Their 4th UNITY Shop in Mainland China opened up yesterday in Shanghai. The whole gang from Hong Kong came over for the party.


Needless to say, supporters of the HK streetwear brand crowded the shop front that afternoon.


SUBCREW’s own Sam Lee, aka DJ Becareful, was in town for the opening event and spin for the crowd at the night’s party at M2 Club.


K from ONEWAY made a trip to Shanghai for his friends’ happy occasion as well. Well, consider that as an excuse to visit Shanghai for fun.

Congrats to Frankie, Kobe, Danny and Sam. It was a good party.

Fragment Tennis Classic / PARRA x Enjoi

Hiroshi showed samples of his Fragment x Nike Tennis Classic collaborations on his blog a few months ago, and has since came out with the Panda Pac to help aid Sichuan earthquake victims. Now, the official collection is set to drop. Oct 11th is the date, at Tier-0 accounts worldwide.

Milk X / Subcrew Unity

MILK X Magazine held its 2nd anniversay party last night here in Shanghai. T-Sens was the choice of venue, and it was a nice place on the riverside. A pretty nice selection of attendees. Met up with a lot industry headz in the event as well. JOYCE Boutique provided the fashion show which was stunning. I still don't get how those pretty ladies can walk in those crazy heels...



UK beatboxer Killer Kellah was also invited to do the performance and it got guests in the groove. It was madness. Some crazy beatboxing going on there. Congrats to the Milk X crew, it was a good one.

Speaking of parties, Hong Kong streetbrand SUBCREW will have its own tomorrow night as its grand opening party of its Shanghai store, UNITY Shanghai. The Unity chain has proven to be a success in Mainland. Subcrew has certainly chose a different path to construct their kingdom comparing to other streetwear labels. Releasing a few special items for the occasion, the 2 mesh caps are part of those special goodies. Don't miss out, SC fans.

Moving along slowly....

More YOKA samples arrived. Seeing samples for the first time is always the best part about this whole designer vinyl creation process. For me, at least. We spend most of the time looking at AI files, is always refreshing to see the same design on a 3D object.

Nicole & Moa

After 2hrs of brainstorming, today's lunch was quite quiet... Nicole took us to an interesting local restaurant, but Moa and I were too dull to even carry out a conversation... This is one busy month, and am sure Oct will be pretty much the same.

Came back to the studio and found some more new samples on the table. Some corporate stuff, some in-line stuff. Show you later.

FCRB x Fragment x FIL x Honeyee: NSW Parka

Nike Sportswear (NSW) made its impact since its debut a months back, and more goodies are still being rolled out as we speak. While I didn't get the more colorful items out there, I can't help myself not to get this zip-up parka. FCRB, from Soph, is one amazing concept. The lineup for FCRB A/W '08 is equally interesting if not even more so. Gotta love that black/gray camo. Can't blame me for liking this over the rainbow colored stuff, 'cos I'm one boring guy color-wise.

F1 Online Game by PUMA

The studio worked on various projects for PUMA in recent months, one of those was designing a group of fictional Formula-One racing cars for the PUMA F1 campaign. The designed skins were put into various usage and platforms, and one of the platforms was the online game on PUMA.com.cn. You can't see all the cars yet, the nice ones are the mystery cars (hmm... this format sounds familiar...).

Leather Coin Pouch / 30Rock

A leather coin pouch by KCQ from Hong Kong. I look forward to the texture of the leather after a bit more wear and tear. Aged leather looks amazing.




I know this is very old by now for the folks in the US, but I have just started watching 30Rock. I watched a few episodes on the plane when I was visiting New York and Vancouver, and I decided to watch the series in its entirity. Needless to say that Tina Fey finally got some much deserved attention after this went on the air.

FENOM / Clyde Cloud L

Hiroshi revealed the latest addition to his FENOM denim line in collaboration with Levis. How much can one do with a denim collection, and how far can one take it. All eyes on Fenom and the mastermind behind it.


Clyde Cloud by PUMA released in China market. Interesting to see Mainland market getting more and more good stuff from different sports labels. Who said cool stuff don't do well in the mainstream market here?? :-)


I'm a Coca Cola, Ice Tea drinker, I do 1.5L of ice tea a day. Is getting boring.. I am trying new drinks lately, see what else is on the market racks. Got this Lychee flavored soda water by Glinter today. Interesting... but not my drink.

The Season has Started

Taking a walk in the late night offered more quiet thinking time. The daytime is always too hectic to think things through with a clear mind.


Hairy Crab season has officially started last night. Something I look forward to annually. Is my mother's favorite Shanghaiese dish as well, it was great to have her join us for dinner last night. Just in time as well, since she too only arrived Shanghai from Hong Kong yesterday afternoon.

7 Yrs After

Has it been 7 years already? Time passed without a trace.
On the other hand, we get reminded almost daily that TT3 is still not out there yet. Is like people would assume I actually don't realize the fact....

As some of you might have noticed, new adFunture products actually get released every month this year. Please while chasing after the TT3, also take a look at what else we are releasing. The artists' unique sculpts are also very attention worthy. DGPH, Suitman, Shawn Smith, all the guys we have worked with, I have much appreciation for their art. I was hoping by bringing them out in vinyl form, we can share their work with more art lovers like yourself. More unique sculpts are coming out, along with other platform figures such as your favorite Teddy in a Helmet. The economy is not slowing this one down.

Caught a glimpse of the F/W products from PUMA this afternoon, this pair caught my attention in particularly; PUMA Basket in such a trendy colorway.


The details are nice as well. Looking forward to these for sure.

Got this from a snack store in Guang Zhou. Mini Burgers inside the box?? I don't read Japanese, so I wasn't sure what it actually is, but got it anyways for the studio crew. They'll just have to find out. I see a number "2" at the corner, so... 2 hamburgers inside??
